Jonny Wade, who was diagnosed with brain cancer on December 26, 2014, and passed away on Christmas Eve 2015, had one wish. His mother, Kimberly Wade, says it was that no other child would have cancer.
The Kids Shouldn’t Have Cancer Foundation in Memory of Jonny Wade will host its fourth-annual gala at 6 p.m on Saturday, September 7, at the Hilton St. Louis. Proceeds from the gala will be used to help fulfill Jonny’s wish, through pediatric cancer research that aims to give children better treatments—and hopefully, one day, a cure.
